Q: Ray, what are you thoughts on the Big East so far? I feel as though the conference's strength is really in the depth but doesn't have a power. Really, Pittsburgh is the only team that has been consistent. Unfortunately, I feel like the Big East has not been able to post any marquee non-conference wins with the exception of two decent wins by Syracuse over Florida and Georgetown beating Memphis. We all know they are going beat each other up in conference. Is there a thought that the conference as a whole is somewhat overrated?

Ryan David Scott, Columbus, Ohio

FITTIPALDO: First off, I would say Connecticut has been consistent seeing that the Huskies remain undefeated and ahead of Pitt in the polls. I wouldn't put too much stock in the non-conference schedule. I don't think there were enough marquee matchups to make a determination one way or the other. I'll withhold my judgment until the NCAA tournament. I think that will be the true barometer for how strong the league is. I'm one of those pepole who believe the conference is as advertied, so I'm looking forward to seeing how many Big East teams make it to the Big Dance and then see how they'll fare.
