Pittsburgh police have arrested one of two men accused of robbing the Quick Stop convenient store in Lawrenceville last week.
Quinmarr Cooper, 18, of Northview Heights, was arrested yesterday on Hazlett Street in the North Side after detectives chased him on foot. Mr. Cooper is charged with robbery and criminal conspiracy. Surveillance footage also led to his arrest.
Police said he was one of two men who robbed the store at 3349 Liberty Ave. on Aug. 21. One of the men went behind the counter, approached an employee and brandished a handgun, forcing the clerk to lie on the floor, police said. The second suspect, police said, went to the rear of the store where another employee was working and took his keys and some cash.
The pair then fled. The other man wanted in the robbery remains at large.
