Baierl Automotive has donated $100,000 to Pine's new community center, scheduled to open next month.

At a check presentation during the supervisors' meeting Aug. 19, Chairman Michael Dennehy thanked Lee and Carol Baierl and the Baierl family for "this kind donation to the community center."

Seven Fields, founded in 1983, will celebrate its 25th anniversary during the annual Community Days event Monday.

The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. Labor Day at Seven Fields Towne Park.

"The events are sure to be spectacular for this special occasion," said Thomas B. Smith, borough manager. "This year we'll have a food court featuring a pig roast and oven baked chicken, among many other foods, and we'll also have 25th anniversary shirts available for purchase."

Meal tickets can be purchased at the community center for $5 per person. Children 3 and under can eat at no charge.

In addition to food, activities throughout the day will include pool games at Towne Park Pool, bicycle, pet and stroller parade; obstacle course, STAT Medevac helicopter, Lowe's kids workshop, 1-4 p.m., (must sign-up on arrival); rescue demonstration by Adams Area Fire Department, 2-3 p.m.; petting zoo, 2-4 p.m.; childrens carnival games, 3-6 p.m.; battle of the barrel with Adams Area Fire Department, 4-5 p.m.; music by Rudy & the Professionals, 6-9 p.m., and a glow necklace giveaway for children.
