Route 51 will be closed to through traffic in the southbound direction only around the Parkway West interchange from 8 p.m. today through 6 a.m. Monday.

The exit ramp leading from Route 51 northbound to the Parkway West outbound also will be closed over the weekend.

A contractor working for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be painting and making minor bridge repairs in the interchange area.

Route 51 south traffic will be directed to the Parkway West and looped around the Banksville interchange in order to return to Route 51.

Route 51 north traffic will continue to the West End Circle, where it will be turned back to Route 51 south in order to reach the Parkway West outbound.
