Holy Smokes Batman!

"The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale, was arrested yesterday in London on charges of assaulting his mother and sister.

Mr. Christian turned himself in to London police the day after the U.K. premiere of his box-office record breaker.

The Sun first reported the 34-year-old star's arrest, which was a result of an alleged row he had with his momma, Jenny, 60, and 40-year-old sister Sharon at the Dorchester Hotel Sunday night.

Mum and sis reported the incident, but police allowed Christian to attend the premiere. He also did a talk show before turning himself in. He was released on bail after four hours of police questioning.

On Tuesday his lawyers released a statement:

"Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

Sounds like Christian is taking this dark knight stuff a little too seriously. We don't know if he did it, but putting your hands on your momma is a definite no-no.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt pulled a fast one and took their twin babies home from a Nice, France, hospital in the wee hours of the morning Saturday.

Knox and Vivienne are now all comfy and cozy with their brothers and sisters in a luxury chateau that their parents rented in Correns, France, reports People.

Is Miley Cyrus trying to shed her good-girl image by taking a racy film role?

You know we don't know, but our girl Courtney Hazlett of MSNBC.com reports that there is buzz that the "Hannah Montana" star is interested in the lead role in "Undiscovered Gyrl," a film version of Allison Burnett's new novel.

If she got it, little Miley would be playing a little lost suburban waif who parties all the time, according to a source close to the project. "There would definitely be nudity," the source said.

Lord have mercy, if folks got their shorts all in a bunch over those Vanity Fair pics, we don't know what they'd do if this child goes full monty.

The folks at Camp Miley had no comment on the movie rumor.

Miley, during an interview on "Good Morning America," said she was young and maybe was just doing what the mag wanted her to do, and she basically did it to get at an older audience, reports People.

"People need to remember that I am young and that I do have feelings, and I'll do the same thing for them," she said. "Anyone who was 15 years old can't say they haven't made a mistake. So I think it's just normal."

What's not normal is an octogenarian with three 20-something girlfriends.

Anyway, said senior citizen Hugh Hefner and his companions, Kendra, Holly and Bridget will be guests on tomorrow's episode of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" when the comics head to the infamous Playboy Mansion.

We're guessing a brawl ensues, but we think Hef cavorting with three women young enough to be his granddaughters is pretty funny already.

Actress Natalie Portman will be a guest judge on "Project Runway" tonight.

The remaining designers will have to go green with their designs but, of course, they don't know that Ms. Portman will have a hand in judging their work.

Meanwhile, celeb hairstylist Oscar Blandi will guest judge over on "Shear Genius," which is like "Project Runway" for hairstylists.

Kid Rock has been sentenced to a year's probation and fined $1,000 for his role in a fight at a suburban Atlanta Waffle House last fall. The DeKalb County solicitor's office said the 37-year-old was also sentenced Monday to six hours of anger management counseling and 80 hours of community service. The entertainer, whose real name is Robert J. Ritchie, pleaded no contest to one count of simple battery. Four counts of battery were dropped. Ritchie's tour bus stopped at the Waffle House about 5 a.m. on Oct. 21 after a performance in downtown Atlanta. An exchange of words with a customer escalated into a fight that spilled from the restaurant into the parking lot.
